Freelance Account Manager

Contract Type: Freelance/Part-time (3 days per week)

Location: Hybrid – Part remote, part in-office (London)

Start date: August / September 2025

ROKH Global is seeking an experienced Account Manager to support our team across a range of high-profile charity, media and corporate clients at a strategic communications agency. 

This freelance position will play a pivotal role in the planning and execution of strategic communications and campaigns, working closely with the senior leadership team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and collaborative communications professional with a background in the charity / non-profit  sector to join a fast-paced, strategic media agency, based in central London, where you’ll be a part of a small, hands-on team.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering impactful PR and communications campaigns, managing client relationships, and leading day-to-day account activity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead on the delivery of communications strategies across charity, media and corporate client accounts

• Develop compelling content including press releases, opinion pieces, briefing notes and messaging documents

• Manage media relations including pitching stories, securing coverage, and building journalist relationships

• Provide strategic counsel to clients and act as a primary point of contact

• Coordinate media monitoring and reporting for clients

• Participate and contribute in full team media brainstorms 

• Represent ROKH Global in client meetings, calls, and at events

• Manage project timelines and ensure work is delivered on time and to the highest standard

Requirements & Experience:

• A minimum of 3 to 4 years experience working in public relations or strategic communications, ideally in an agency or client-facing role

• Strong experience working with or within the charity / non-profit sector

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously

• Confident working independently in a fast-moving and dynamic environment

• Demonstrable experience leading client relationships 

• Experience using social media and other digital channels to support strategic communications

• Comfortable working in a hybrid setting, central London-based (usually in-person once a week)
